More than 35 Tibetans from five regional chapters took part in the TYC
 led peaceful protest demonstration at Chinese Embassy in New Delhi on
 10th October, 2007. Twenty two activists along with Centrex member Mr.
 Tenzin Norsang were arrested after more than 50 minutes of fierce
 demonstration and 9 different cases were registered against them by the
 Police. Four Tibetans including the eldest Mr Dorjee lak (78 years) from
 Manali were badly injured and bruised after ruthless beatings at the
 Chanakyapuri Police Station. During the routine medical check up at Ram
 Manohar Lohia Hospital, Police ignored the advice of Medical officer who
 asked four members to get X- Ray report. The Patiala House Court and
 Tihar Police have later asked the Chanakyapuri Police to produce fresh
 Medical Legal Report (MLR) for some members who have been injured.

All the 22 activists were booked U/S (Under Section) 143, 145, 147,
 149, 186, 188, 353, 448, and 511 of IPC (Indian Penal Code) by the
 Chanakyapuri Police. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr. Anand Mohan
 of Parliament Street Police Station called for a short meeting with TYC
 Centrex Vice President Mr. Dhondup Dorjee in his Office and out of many
 issues disscussed during the meeting, DCP mentioned that stringent
 actions would be taken against TYC members this time. The Chinese Embassy
 Staff also had meetings with DCP, ACP and MEA Officails to lodge strong
 complaint against the Tibetan peaceful demonstrators and termed it as
 a breach of International Protocol. The Embassy Officials have
 reportedly demanded for more forces for portection.

TYC Vice President also had meetings with ACP Mrs Suman and SHO Mr.
 Jagat Singh of Chanakyapuri Police Station regarding the 22 arrested
 members and to inquire about further developments of the cases. Some members
 were not satisfied for failing their attempt to pull down the Chinese
 flag. TYC executive members have been taking all the necessary legal
 guidance from the legal experts. At present, More than 250 members of TYC
 are undergoing various Court trails in different parts of India for
 peaceful demonstrations and have been charged under different sections of
 Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Criminal Proceeding Code (Cr.Pc).

TYC strongly condemn and demands for the immediate termination and
 complete withdrawal of the China's new measures on selecting
 reincarnations.
