Dharamsala, Oct 27: Exiled Tibetans held a candlelight vigil in Dharamsala to protest the alleged Chinese military oppression in Tibet.Holding Tibetan flags, scores of
protesters gathered at the McLeodganj, headquarters of Tibetan Government-in-Exile, and took out a candlelight procession.

The activists were protesting against what they alleged were "atrocities meted out by the Chinese authorities on Tibetans."

The protesters said the recent U.S. Congress honour to Dalai Lama has angered the Chinese further."We appeal to the international bodies or international
governments to come up and support the peaceful movement of Tibet. We are doing this to make sure that the Tibetans are back in Tibet," said Tsering Choedup, a
protestor.

Tibet has been ruled by China since 1950.Over 150,000 Tibetans have taken refuge in India since 1959 when the Dalai Lama and his followers fled their homeland
after an abortive uprising against China.
