Tibetan singer's music video Competes at Berlin festival

Dharamsala Wednesday, January 14, 2009 (Phayul)- Tibetan singer Namgyal Lhamo's controversial music video 'Paradise Lost' is contesting for the Green Chillies awards at the 2009 Asian Hotshots Berlin film festival alongside other films from China, Japan, Korea and Indonesia.
 
Lhamo’s music video was released during the Beijing Olympics and her video is the only music video among other nominated feature films and short films at the festival that starts today.
 
Produced by Namgyal's label Silk Road; The video which also stars Hollywood tattoo artist Poh Khungsa has become very popular on Youtube and other channels, keeping the issue of Tibet alive in the International entertainment media.
 
Namgyal Lhamo is also nominated for Best World Music act from Holland/Belgium for the 2009 Mixed Music awards that will be held in Amsterdam in February.
