Dalai Lama coming to Vancouver Peace Summit -- September 26-29

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - They promote peace and
they are coming to our city. The Vancouver Peace
Summit will bring the likes of Archbishop Desmond
Tutu and the Dalai Lama to town this fall.

Landmines activist Jody Williams, Irish peace
proponents Mairead Maguire, Betty Williams,
Vancouver author Eckhard Tolle and French monk
Matthieu Ricardwill also be at the event
September 26 - 29.  The focus will be on the
themes of peace, education, interfaith harmony,
women and peacebuilding, and youth.

Tickets will be available in late May or early
June, and are expected to go fast. The last time
the Dalai Lama came to Vancouver he spoke at GM
Place, selling out 30,000 tickets in a matter of hours.
