A website for southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region launched online broadcasting services in Chinese, Tibetan and English on Wednesday.

The tibetancn.chinabroadcast.cn, set up by the Tibet People's Broadcasting Station, offers programs on Tibet's culture, music, tourism and news.

"The main purpose is to further enhance the mass communication capability of Tibet and make full use of the Internet to make people worldwide know more about true Tibet," said Liu Changjiang, head of the station.

Currently, the programs in Chinese and Tibetan run almost around-the-clock. English audio programs just last for one hour every day because of a limited workforce.
