The Canada Tibet Committee invites you to Montreal’s 31stAnnual Tibetan Bazaar and Cultural Fair. A shorter version of ‘Seven years in Tibet’, well worth a visit.
Every year, for only one day, thousands of Montrealers interested in the Tibetan culture, religion, and human rights gather to (re)discover Tibetan arts and handicrafts, live traditional music and dance, as well as Tibetan cuisine.
Bazaar kiosks feature fascinating handicrafts from Tibet, Nepal and India, while Montreal’s Tibetan community performs live traditional music and dances. Tibetan calligraphy and meditation workshops are also available.
The Tibetan Cultural Fair is a major fundraising activity for the Canada Tibet Committee (CTC), an independent non-governmental organization promoting human rights and freedom for the Tibetan people. The CTC is funded entirely by individual donations and special events such as this annual fair. The Tibetan Cultural Association of Québecpreserves Tibetan cultural traditions, including performing arts, within the diaspora community in Québec.
Admission: $5; Seniors and students: $3; Under 12: free
