Selling out?

October 13, 2011

Globe and Mail:

South Africa, under President Jacob Zuma, has sold its soul for billions in Chinese investment (Has South Africa Sold Out Its Principles? – Oct. 7). It is inconceivable that a country that has suffered through some of the worst discrimination and human rights abuses in the history of humanity would deny the honourable position of the Dalai Lama for a fair and equitable solution to the long-standing and brutal repression of Tibetans in their homeland.
What has happened to the country that set up the Truth and Reconciliation Commission to bear witness to the abuse of human rights?
