China expects smooth run in Delhi

Despite huge protests against the Olympic torch in London and Paris,
China is confident that it won't face such problems in India. The
Chinese Tourism Minister Shao Qiwei, who is in Delhi expressed
satisfaction with the security arrangements made for the Olympics torch
relay in Delhi. Shao said, "We are satisfied with security arrangements
in India. We appreciate all the efforts made by India."

Shao met his Indian counterpart -- Ambika Soni, who assured the Chinese
Tourism Minister that India will ensure the safety of the Olympic torch
when it arrives in Delhi on April 17. Ambika said, "The Foreign Minister
of India has very categorically stated that the torch will go through
India with full respect and complete security."
