Dharamsala, Oct 28 (ANI) -- Three Nobel Peace
laureates participated in a peace youth
conference organised in honor of Tibetan
spiritual leader Dalai Lama in Dharamsala.

Three Nobel peace laureates, Shirin Ebadi from
Iran, Mairead Corrigan Maguire from Northern
Ireland and Jody Williams of United States along
with the people of Tibet were present to grace
the occasion at Upper Tibetan Children Village school auditorium.

For 50 years, the 14th Tibetan spiritual leader
Dalai Lama and the people of Tibet have waged a
peaceful struggle to preserve their ancient
culture, religion, language and identity.

"This public ceremony is conducted to express the
three laureates’ appreciation for his holiness’
efforts to resolve the issue of Tibet
peacefully," said Thubten Samphel, spokesperson of the Government-in-exile.
