"Canada can, within a positive friendly atmosphere, ask the Chinese government to resolve the Tibetan situation."

Living in Tibet under Chinese
Was like being in a dark & dingy prison
Where swarms of prisoners
Cried out in tears of pain
But I awoke today to happiness
In India, where oceans of people
Freely hugged the shores of freedom
Where showers of democracy
Drenched the country with refreshing vitality
Where words of worship
Rang loud in temples, churches and synagogues
Where fruits of different ethnicity
Flourished in lush trees of friendship
Where the rule of law
Inspired people to work without flaw
Like biting on a tasty edam
I tasted a piece of freedom
