"On my part, I remain committed to the process of dialogue. It is my firm belief that dialogue and a willingness to look with honesty and clarity at the reality of Tibet can lead us to a viable solution."

What was dark
Will be bright
What was lost
Will be found
What was taken
Will be given
What was defeated
Will be won
What was shattered
Will be restored
What was plundered
Will be retrieved

What is China
Will be Tibet
What is sought
Will be found
What is maligned
Will be praised
What is silenced
Will be vocalized
What is autocracy
Will be democracy
What is dominated
Will be free

The devil's disguise will be revealed
And his fate will forever be sealed
The dark clouds will drift away one day
And the bright sun will show us the way
The autocrats will all one day die and fade away
And democracy will reign in the world some day
Tibet will be free and independent once again
And the Dalai Lama will His rightful throne regain

Change will come
As will a new day
Change must come
As must rebirth
