Fire Under the Snow (the remarkable story of a monk who survived 34 years imprisonment in Tibet),
 
Tulku (first-hand story of what its like to be identified as a reincarnate in the West, by the son of Alan Ginsberg's teacher, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche),
 
Meltdown in Tibet (World Premiere of travel writer and Tibet expert /Michael Buckley's doc on superdams being built by China on Asia's essential water sources - Tibet's rivers),
 
Tibet's Cry For Freedom (Australian-made doc on the state of Tibet today features the Dalai Lama), and a double-bill on the story of a tulku as a boy and 17 years later in India: The Reincarnation of Khensur Rinpoche and The Thread of Karma.
 
The festival will run Friday June 12 to Monday June 15 at the VIFC Vancity Theatre at1181 Seymour at Davie St. More info at www.vifc.org
