NEW HARMONY, Ind. -- Khashyar Darvich, a film
producer and director from Los Angeles, Calif.,
will screen and discuss two award-winning
documentaries about the Dalai Lama on Sunday at
the Harmony Haus Cinema in New Harmony.

"The Dalai Lama Renaissance" will begin at 1 p.m.
and "The Dalai Lama Renaissance Vol. 2" will
screen at 3:30 p.m. in the theater at 515 Main St.

Darvich will talk about the films, which focus on
world peace and personal transformation, in the
break between screenings. A separate discussion
will follow over a meal at the White House restaurant afterward.

Tickets for the showings, brought to the area by
several local sponsors, are $12 per film, $20 for
both. Proceeds will help fund charities in the
Dalai Lama's native Tibet, said Cecile Martin, one of the screening's sponsors.
