Band group Street Dogs have recorded a new
musical performance to express their support for
a "Free Tibet," reported Punknews.org  Oct 13. It
said the band had joined with the non-profit
called Built On Respect to raise awareness about
human rights violations in Tibet.

The report said vocalist Mike McColgan and Built
on Respect founder Heidi Minx have called
particular attention to the recent crackdowns on
jailed Tibetan musical artists Tashi Dhondup and filmmaker Dhondup Wangchen.

“We enjoy certain freedoms living in a democracy,
and one of them is using our voices for human
rights. We are particularly appalled at the
charges and sentences against filmmaker Dhondup
Wangchen and singer, Tashi Dhondup,” they were quoted as saying.
