The Core Group for Tibetan Cause is organizing a reception to host
Tibetan Freedom Torch's arrival in India on Thursday, the 10th of
July 2008 at Jantar Mantar.

Along with the Tibetan officials, leaders, activists, students and
people, Indian personalities Ms.Nafisa Ali, Mr. Neera Shastri, Mr.
Kirti Azad, Ms. Jaya Jaitley, Mr. Bashisht Narayan Singh have gladly
accepted the invitation and Arundhati Roy is expected for the arrivial.

The programme will start with the lighting of the torch from Samtha
Sthal at 11 am and end its 6 kms run at Jantar Mantar at 12 noon.

The "Tibetan Freedom Torch Relay" has started from Olympia, Greece on
the 10th of March, 2008 covering major cities of Europe, U.S.,
Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Taiwan and Uruguay. The Torch will
arrive in India on the eve of 9th July 2008 on its final leg in India.

Starting from Delhi, it will travel to all the major cities in India
for the period of one month including four metropolitan cities of
Delhi, Mumbai, Bangaluru, Calcutta ending its journey in Leh, Ladakh
at the time of opening ceremony of Beijing Olympic 2008.
