"Canada can, within a positive friendly atmosphere, ask the Chinese government to resolve the Tibetan situation."

A Poem: I Know and I Feel

I know it's wrong
For China to occupy Tibet
I feel it's right
For us to reclaim our country

I feel it's wrong
For China to suppress human rights
I  know it's right
For us to demand our rights

I know it's wrong
For China to murder thousands of my countrymen
I feel it's right
For us to demand justice

I feel it's wrong
For China to destroy our unique culture
I know it's right
For us to protest vehemently

I know it's wrong
For China to ruin our pristine environment
I feel it's right
For us to object forcefully

I feel it's wrong
To use violence
I know it's right
When we have no choice

I know it's wrong
To object to the Dalai Lama's "Middle Path"
I feel it's right
To also have some other choices

In short
I know it's right
For us to demand independence
And I feel it's wrong
To stand by doing nothing
