Protest of Dalai Lama planned Saturday

A group of 400 Tibetan and western monks plan to protest the Dalai
Lama's presence Saturday at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena,
according to a news release from the Western Shugden Society.

A news release from the group claims the world-renown Buddhist leader
persecutes exiled Tibetans who practice a centuries-old practice of
praying to the deity Dorje Shugden.

The protest of the Dalai Lama's five-day visit to this region is
scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside the arena, the
release says. People from 16 countries are expected to participate.
