New Delhi -- A twenty four hours hunger strike and Dharana by
India-Tibet Friendship Society has concluded today morning. The
members of India -Tibet Friendship society has been sit on Dharana
and hunger strike on 8th August to mark their protest against Bejing
Olympic 2008. The hunger strike was led by Dr. Raghuvir Singh Kapoor
(A eminent socialist leader) in Delhi that has been followed by
members of India-Tibet Friendship Society in different places of
country. The main purpose of the event was –

1. To mark the protest against the hosting Olympic at Bejing. It was
highlighted during the protest that China has no moral right to host
the Olympic games in the country. This game has started in Athense
with the objective of promoting International Brotherhood and
integration among mankind. But this has happened in first time in the
history of Olympic games that the decision of having games in Bejing
has faced worldwide protest due to continuous Human Rights violation
in Tibet and also its illegal occupation by People's Republic of
China. And in this context this decision has disintegrate the human
kind in world wide rather integrate the. The non-participants of
Tibetan community in the game show the bankruptcy and lack of
understanding among decision makers of games.

2. Protest has also put forward their demand to Indian Political
Parties and Members of Parliament to raise this  issues in
forthcoming session of both the house.

This was participated and addressed by Prof. Anand Kumar ( General
Secretary, ITFS), Ven. Lama Chosphel Zotpa ( Member, National
Commission for Minorities), Dr. Hira Paul Negi ( Buddhist Scholar and
Vice-President of India-Tibet Friendship Society), Shri Choekyong
Wangchuk ( Member, Assembly of Tibetan Peple's Deputies and Convener,
Tibet Solidarity Committee), Shri Surendra Kumar (Secretary, Gandhi
Peace Foundation), Dr. Brajesh Kumar ( India-Tibet Friendship
Society, Bihar), Shri Nand Kishor Yadav  (Political workers, Bihar),
Dr. Manoj Kumar ( National Organising Secretary, ITFS), Shri Lobsang
( India-Tibet Co-ordination office) and other senior members of Society.

The Hunger strike, protest march and run was also organized by ITFS
in different parts of countries i.e. Nagpur, Bhandara, Chandrapur,
Reewa, Indore, Patna, Bodhgaya, Lucknow, Lakhisarai and other parts
of country. This protest will continue till 24th August as the
members has decided.
