Dalai Lama to receive award in Dominican Republic visit

Santo Domingo -- The Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso will visit the country
next month as part of a tour of several countries in the region, and
the university UNIBE will bestow the degree Doctor Honoris Causa,
awarded to personalities who excell in the sciences and humanities.

Unibe president July Amado Castaño Guzman said the title granted to
the Dalai Lama for his outstanding work that earned him the Nobel Peace Prize.

This ceremony will be held at the Central Bank auditorium in the
presence of UNIBE students, professors, and political and business leaders.
