1.587 bln kwh electric power generated in 2008 in Tibet

BEIJING, Jan. 8, 2009 (Xinhua) -- Tibet Autonomous Region Electric Power Limited Company has completed yearly tasks successfully by generating 1.587 billion kwh electric power, and selling 1.329 bln kwh in 2008.
 
All the staff in the company made great contributions to the Beijing Olympic Games, Damxung earthquakes and Lhoka snow disaster relief work by making sure power generating and reducing the power network emergencies.
 
Moreover, Tibetans benefited from efficient measures ensuring the supply of electricity in winter.
