Dalai Lama arrives in Dharamsala (IANS)

Dharamsala, Feb 3 (IANS) Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader the Dalai Lama
Tuesday reached his residence in this Himachal Pradesh hill town after
undergoing a medical examination at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.”His
Holiness (the Dalai Lama) reached his official palace this evening
(Tuesday) after undergoing medical examination and tests at Apollo
Hospital,” a senior aide to the leader Tenzin Taklha told IANS.

“The spiritual guru is fine… in excellent health,” he said.

The Dalai Lama, 73, was hospitalised Monday after he complained of mild
discomfort in one of his arms.

Taklha said the Nobel Peace laureate will visit Europe next week.

“The Dalai Lama’s four-day Europe visit would begin Feb 8. First, he
will visit Rome and Venice in Italy and then Germany where he will
receive the German Media Prize,” he said.

The German Media Prize is annually given to people who have shown
exceptional commitment and contribute to shaping a more peaceful and
socially just world.
