"For a happier, more stable and civilized future, each of us must develop a sincere, warm-hearted feeling of brotherhood and sisterhood."

Wake up and look alive
Close up if you are broke
Light up the fire in you
Juice up your engine
Spruce up your actions
Dress up every day
Speak up when you have something worthwhile to say
Shut up if you have nothing worthwhile to say
Face up to problems and obstacles
Reach up to the sky
Stand up for your causes
Lift up your heart
Listen up if you can hear
Pay up whatever you owe
Live up and enjoy life
Back up to come back another day
Climb up whenever you can
Step up to your responsibilities
Rise up to challenges
Raise up your ambitions
Sit up straight and face the challenge

Turn down when you are tired
Dress down, don't show off
Cut down the fat
Shut down the ills that bother you
Live down if you are living too high
Draw down the shades to avoid evil stares
Back down to fight another day
Face down to offer a prayer
Climb down to avoid flying objects
Slow down to catch up
Sell down your losses
Reach down and pull someone up
Move down to down-size
Push down to lift up
Price down to sell
Stand down to rise up another day
Clamp down on illegal activities
Sit down. Listen & think

You can surely handle all the ups and downs of life
If you cut through them with a discriminating knife

Bombs, bullets and missiles
I would use
Since I want independence

Dialogue, non-violence and prayers
The Dalai Lama has chosen
To save Tibetan lives and culture

Thus have I chosen
To follow the Dalai Lama's path
As He is my Lord, God and Protector
