Panchen Lama's 14th abduction anniversary marked

The Tibetan Women’s Association held on May 17
rallies and a panel discussion on the 14th
anniversary of the Chinese government’s abduction
of the Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima who
turned 25 on Apr 25 this year. A panel discussion
was held in Dharamsala on "How to secure the release of the 11th Panchen Lama”.

The participants were Tibetan Deputy Mrs Gyari
Dolma, the Tibetan Center for Human Rights and
Democracy Director Mr Urgyen Tenzin, the Central
Association for the Panchen Lama Researcher Mr
Lobsang Tashi, Tibet Times (Tibetan) editor Mr
Lungrik Gyal and Tibet Express (Tibetan) reporter Gang Lhamo.

Regional Tibetan Women’s Associations held
rallies in their own respective localities.
