1. Public Security Ministry commends Tibet forces for anniversary security work

Text of report by Chinese regional radio from Tibet

Public Security Minister Tao Siju recently issued an order to commend
Tibet public security organs for their contribution to the security
work during the grand ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the
founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

The order noted that to arrange the security work during the grand
celebration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Tibet
Autonomous Region on 1st September and to provide security protection
for members of the central government delegation during the
celebration, leaders of Tibet public security organs at the
departmental and bureau levels had attached high importance to the
security work and made meticulous organization and arrangements; and
that all rank-and-file public security personnel, out of a high sense
of responsibility towards the party, motherland and people, were
fearless of danger and difficulty, worked tirelessly day and night,
concentrated all their efforts on their work and superbly fulfilled
various security protection tasks.
