6. The Tibet Spectacular – A Journey Across the Roof for the World

Sydney, Australia

The Australian Tibetan Society is holding a major fundraising event on Sunday 29 May 2005 at
Paddington Town Hall, Sydney. This event celebrates ‘30 Years for Tibet’ since the founding of ATS
in the presence of the Society’s Patron, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in Dharamsala in 1975.

In an exciting two hour programme you will be transported on a journey across Tibet. The show will
be narrated by well-known Tibet adventurer and TV presenter Sorrel Wilby. Sorrel will recount her
epic solo walk across Tibet 20 years ago, accompanied by stunning pictures of her journey and
featuring traditional Tibetan dance and musical performances by the ‘Land of Snows’ Dance Troupe
from the exile Tibetan community of Kalimpong in the Indian Himalaya. Talented local Tibetan
performers will also showcase their skills.

This will be a rare opportunity to see a wide selection of genuine Tibetan cultural performances
in Australia. Don’t miss it!
