1. DALAI LAMA IN TRENTO, "YOU ARE OUR OLDER BROTHERS"

Trento, Italy, Aug 1, 2005 ((AGI) - "We are looking for our autonomy. You
are living your autonomy in complete freedom. You are our older brothers.
Thanks for your solidarity and support for the cause of the people of
Tibet". With these words the Dalai Lama replied today to the greeting of the
President of the autonomous province of Trento, whom he met, before going to
Trentino. Then the meeting in the regional council took place, followed by
the public meeting at the Trento auditorium where a thousand people greeted
Tenzin Gyatso. The Dalai Lama said that his people "want to stay within
China" and it is duty "to eliminate the serious environmental disasters that
humanity increasingly risks having to face if they continue development that
does not consider the delicate equilibrium".
