In today’s world, science and technology play vital roles to bring unprecedented material comfort to the lives of human beings. However, the basic human problems of suffering, fear and tension still remain and form part of our daily lives. We are constantly confronted with devastating news such as violence, crime, wars and natural disasters. Thus, it is only logical to try to strike a balance between material developments on the one hand and the development of spiritual, human values on the other. To bring about this great adjustment, we need to revive our humanitarian values. His Holiness will share his personal outlook on how we may bring about peace not only on a personal level but at the community level and world-wide.
Tickets are SOLD OUT for the October 23, 2010 teachings of “The Eight Verses of Training the Mind,” a classic text by Kadam Geshe Langri Thangpa and the “Long Life Empowerment” and “Long Life Ceremony”
The TCCC is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to preserving and sharing Tibetan culture and traditions in Canada while fostering cross-cultural understanding through the practice of the Tibetan values of altruism, compassion and harmony in Canada's diverse society.
