How does it feel
To see streets paved with gold
And know that you can only walk on streets paved with dirt?
How does it feel
To smell the sweet fruits of a rich land
And find you can only eat the rotten fruits?
How does it feel
To be living your country
And learn it is merely a vast prison?
How does it feel
To see a foreign nation's flag flying high in your country
And discover if you display your national flag you will be punished
How does it feel
To feel all the emotions of frustration
And know if you speak up you are doomed
Yes, these are all feelings of frustration and anger
That all Tibetans experience
And know they must defend and demand their rights
