DHARAMSHALA: Former president A P J Abdul Kalam will arrive at Kangra airport on Friday afternoon on a two-day visit to Himachal Pardesh.
This will be his second visit to State following his December 2004 tour as President.
During his stay, Kalam will visit Hamirpur also. Besides attending a function at the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), Hamirpur, Kalam will pay a visit to McLeodganj and meet the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama at his residence this afternoon. Former President will reach Kangra airport this afternoon and will head to McLeodganj to meet the Dalai Lama.
Next on the agenda will be Hamirpur, where he will take part in the convocation of the National Institute of Information Technology on Saturday morning.
Kalam will interact with students from the NIIT this evening and with schoolchildren on tomorrow morning. The S P Kangra Atul Phulzale while talking to Punjabnewsline said elaborate security arrangements have been made for the Kalam's visit.
