Pupils at two schools in Prudhoe have made an educational video to help
youngsters at a Tibetan school to learn English.

Prudhoe High School and Wylam First School collaborated on the video,
producing it and singing songs and rhymes.

This is the latest incarnation of a long-term link between Prudhoe High
School and the Tibet Foundation School in Mussoorie, reports the Hexham
Courant.

Yvonne Clark, Prudhoe High School's head of drama, said the film took
about a week to make in total.

'The idea was to produce a film from which the Tibetan youngsters could
learn English and how to count,' she said.

'The results are fantastic. We are delighted and we are proud of
everyone who took part and did such a good job.'

Mrs Clark has already visited the school twice and it is hoped some of
the school's pupils will be able to do the same soon, to learn about
Tibetan culture and lifestyle.
