According to reports on
publishersmarketplace.com, Harper One bought the
Dalai Lama's next book, MY SPIRITUAL AUTOBIOGRAPHY, yesterday.
Aided by writer Sophia Stril-Rever, the Dalai
Lama will talk about his spiritual development,
including memories of his life as a child (chosen
at age four as the spiritual leader and head of
state of Tibet), his life as a young monk, his
exile from Tibet, and his current place on the
world stage as a pre-eminent Tibetan Buddhist
teacher and a proponent of peace, compassion, and religious tolerance.
With the DL's semi-retirement and advancing
years, this autobiography seems like a natural.
He's written many books, but this one could be particularly interesting.
