Himachal Speaker faults China's occupation of Tibet

he Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh states Vidhan
Sabha (Legislative Assembly), Mr Tulsi Ram, has
criticized Chinas continued occupation of Tibet
during a private visit May 18 to the Tibetan
Parliament-in-Exile. "Chinas occupation of a
weaker and peaceful nation like Tibet is not
right. China should not have done that and such
an unjustified aggression is not acceptable at all."
Mr Ram assured full support to the Tibetan Deputy
Speaker Mrs Dolma Gyaris request that the
Himachal Pradesh Legislative Forum for Tibet set up in Aug 2006 be revived.
Mr Ram also hoped the government of India would
continue all assistance and support to the
Tibetan people living in the country.
Also, on May 18, Gyari led a three-member
delegation of exile Tibetan MPs to New Delhi to
congratulate the 543 newly elected members to the
Lower House (Lok Sabha, the House of People) of
Indian parliament and to felicitate those from
Himachal Pradesh, reported the exile governments Tibet.net May 19.
