GAZETA WYBORCZA sets the scene for a visit to
Warsaw by the Dalai Lama. On July 28, he is to
become an honorary citizen of Warsaw.

The daily has no doubt that the Warsaw City
Council will support the relevant motion unanimously.

A motion to have the Free Tibet Roundabout in
Warsaw, however, is likely to face opposition
from Civic Platform deputies who speak openly of
a need for political correctness. Dropping the
word ‘free’ may be a solution, and as GAZETA
WYBORCZA says, the Tibet Roundabout is the name
that has been approved by the Foreign Ministry. (mk/pg)
