An estimated 30,000 pregnant Tibetan antelopes will give birth in the
hinterland of Hol Xil on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau this summer,
according to the Management Bureau of the Hoh Xil National Nature Reserve.?

In late June, pregnant Tibetan antelopes began to give birth by the
Zonag Lake and the Sun Lake, according to Cai Danzhou, director of the
Management Bureau.

Some antelopes are found leaving the "big maternity ward" and returning
to their native habitat with their babies.?

The bureau has sent forest policemen to set up tents in the nature
reserve to make sure that the pregnant antelopes will give birth in a
safe and undisturbed environment.
