Dalai Lama arrives at first event of his Vancouver dialogues

The Dalai Lama has entered the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC
for the first of his dialogues, which will lead up to the Vancouver Peace
Summit.
Nobel Laureates Jody Williams, Mairead Maguire, Betty Williams, and Murray
Gell-Mann are in Vancouver for the three-day series of events along with
other internationally known advocates for social transformation, education,
peace, and development.
The Peace Summit will be based on dialogues held at the Chan Centre for the
Performing Arts and the Orpheum Theatre.
There will be four Webcast dialogues: World Peace through Personal Peace;
Nobel Laureates in Dialogue: Connecting for Peace; Educating the Heart; and
Women and Peace-building.
The Vancouver-based Dalai Lama Center for Peace & Education states on its
Web site that it expects these dialogues to be simulcast on www dot ctv dot
