The Dalai Lama talked of peace, tolerance and compassion today in front of
some 13,000 people at the Bell Centre Saturday afternoon.
Before his talk, the influential Tibetan spiritual leader talked to
journalists, telling them that each human being has a fundamental right to
have a happy, joyful life, and added that all the world's religions have the
same potential to bring about inner peace.
The Dalai Lama praised the way Quebecers live together, in spite of their
differences.
During his third trip to Montreal, he also spoke to a group of some 500
hand-picked university students at McGill.
