Poem: Our Eyes

Our eyes tell if we're truthful
Or if we're simply wrathful
They tell if we're compassionate
Or if we are dispassionate
They shed tears when we are sad
And glow bright when we are glad
They twitch when we are tense
And blank when we make no sense
They blink when we are naughty
And enlarge when we're haughty
They see what we want to see
And blind when we want to flee
Our eyes are the windows to our future
Less we are blind or our eyes we suture
They tell no lies
Nor bear any flies
