Poem: To Our Country in Tibet

February 14, 2010

Februay 13, 2010

You have suffered
The horrors of death
You have brooked
The pangs of hunger
You have sustained
The wounds of torture
You have borne
The agony of hard labor
You have felt
The anguish of loneliness
You have endured
The torment of imprisonment

With tears of sorrow
We weep for you
With hope of liberty
We yearn for you
With pleas of justice
We plead for you
With voices of protest
We scream for you
With songs of freedom
We sing for you
With trust in the Divine One
We pray for you

With undying love
We hold you
With freedom in mind
We stand by you
With persistent optimism
We encourage you
With continuing endeavor
We promise you
With glistening admiration
We hail you
With bottomless appreciation
We thank you
