The Canada Tibet Committee (CTC) respects your privacy and does not sell, rent or share our e-mail lists or personal data to anyone or any organization. We use a variety of security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data used by our system.
Personal information is used to communicate with you, or to facilitate your participation as a member or volunteer. The CTC is a national organization. National data may be shared with our branches, or by our branches with the National Office, under this Privacy Policy.

We use security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data used by our system. Security audits are conducted periodically to ensure the integrity of our systems.
We do not share, sell, or rent individual personal information with anyone outside of the CTC, without your express advance permission or unless so ordered by a court of law. Information submitted is only available to CTC personnel who manage this information for purposes of communicating with you on matters pertaining to CTC business, or for determining how best to provide that information according to your wishes.
If you have received unwanted, unsolicited email sent via our system or purporting to be sent via this system, please forward a copy of that email with your comments to ctcoffice@tibet.ca for review.
The purpose of the CTC web site is to educate and inform the public about the CTC, its goals, key values, policies and mission. When you visit this site and access information, you are anonymous. We do not require you to provide personal information to view it.
Information gathered on www.tibet.ca falls under the following categories:
We record information about the pages viewed by all of our website visitors. This data includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, connection speed, read time, display time and number of clicks.
We use this data, in aggregate form only, to compile statistics and reports for the CTC, and improve the online experience for all visitors. Such uses of this data would typically be to plan site architecture improvements or to measure public interest in our site.

Membership information provided to the CTC can be up updated by calling our national office in Montreal.

Visitors to our site may choose to opt in to receive our email newsletters.
E-newsletters are sent only to users who choose to provide us with their email address. Our newsletter subscriber database is not sold, rented or otherwise shared with any other parties. Subscribers wishing to update their contact information, or opt out of receiving newsletters, can use our online subscriber services.
Visitors using any online collaborative tools including e-mail discussion lists, bulletin boards, etc., are bound by the user-provided content guidelines set out in the applicable Terms of Use. Postings and articles submitted remain property of the CTC and are archived.
The CTC reserves the right to co-operate with local, national, or international law enforcement or other authorities in the investigation of improper or unlawful activities and this may require the disclosure of personal information. If such an investigation requires disclosure of personal information on file in our records, we may be required by law to cooperate. We also reserve the right to report improper or unlawful user activities on our site, which may require the disclosure of personal information relating to those individuals conducting such improper or unlawful activities.
