Live Webcast of Long Life Prayer Ceremony and Commemoration of 10 March

Dharamshala -- The ceremony of long life prayer offering (Tenshug) to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 9 March will be broadcast live on the Central Tibetan Administration's online website, The ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. (local time).

The Central Tibetan Administration and the people of Tibet will jointly offer prayers for the long life and simultaneous fulfillment of all the wishes of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

The heads of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism and Bon religion will attend the prayer ceremony.

Senior officials of the Central Tibetan Administration, including Supreme Justice Commissioner, justice commissioners, Speaker and deputy of the Tibetan Parliament, Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche and members of the Kashag will also attend.

Similarly, the commemoration of 50th anniversary of the exile of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people on 10 March, will be telecast live at 9:00 a.m. (local time).

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will address the gathering, followed by statements from the Kashag and the Tibetan Parliament.
