Dirty shoe hurled at Chinese consulate

A Tibetan protestor has thrown a shoe containing
human faeces over a wall into the forecourt of the Chinese consulate in Sydney.

Around 100 people gathered outside the Chinese
consulate in Sydney to condemn the Chinese
government's decision to mark what it describes
as Serfs Liberation Day, a newly created holiday
to celebrate 50 years of Chinese rule in Tibet.

Tibetan Protester Tempa Dugdak flung his shoe,
which he had filled with his own faeces, over the Chinese consulate wall.

He said it was a symbolic gesture.

"I wanted to convey my message to the Chinese
Communist Party that represents the message they have given us: shit!"

He says the new holiday in China is provocative and insulting.
